Air inlets

Air inlets installed on windows or walls optimize the air flow. They promote air supply in rooms with natural, hybrid or mechanical exhaust ventilation. They are suitable for rooms and sometimes the kitchen. Air inlets will supply the fresh air even when the windows are tightly sealed.

Air inlets should be choosed according to your needs and the way they work:

Humidity controlled air inlets – they automatically  adapt the amount of delivered of air to the prevailing conditions. The inlet is opened when there is a strong change in the level of humidity. When the humidity rises, more air is supplied to the room. There is a polyamide tape that acts as a humidity sensor. That kind of air inlet does not require user interaction.

Pressure air inlets – they are self-regulating, the air supply is controlled by the variations between indoor and outdoor pressure. After reaching the maximal flow, the air supply is restricted. That kind of air inlet  allows the user to manually lock the inlet, to minimise the air supply.

Manual air inlets – it's up to the user when to open or close the inlet. The device lacks automatic regulation.

Lack of effective ventilation could lead to:

  • moisture in rooms, that promotes the growth of moulds and fungae;
  • condensation of water vapor on the glass surface;insufficient amount of air needed for combustion of fuel in gas furnaces, fireplaces, and the like.unpleasant odor, usually after a long absence of dwellers;
  • Too little exchange of indoor air can cause malaise, headache, upper respiratory tract diseases, allergies, etc.
